On May 15, the Robinson Community Learning Center celebrated two of our mothers in the English as a New Language (ENL) preschool. The mothers are from Sudan and Palestine, and within the past month both of them have passed their Citizenship Tests!
We celebrated with the other ENL class members and teachers, and the preschool children and teachers. We ate Middle Eastern food and cake, and the mom received American flags! ENL Classes at the Robinson Center are run by the South Bend Community Schools, and all of the children enrolled in the RCLC preschool have parents in ENL.
