Art Camp

The Notre Dame Center for Arts and Culture hosted two Art Camps for middle school students this summer. During two separate camp sessions, students have had the ability to develop their art skills, learn about different artists, visit Joe Segura's print studio and the IUSB Civil Rights Heritage Center and explore different art forms.  They are producing a final product that will become part of the Birmingham Project in South Bend.  This year, 2013, marks the 50th Anniversary of the Birmingham church bombing, as well as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have a Dream Speech" and his visit to South Bend.  The art produced at the camps will be on display throughout the year at the different events commemorating those historical events.
