As Director of Community Relations, Jessica focuses on building partnerships with local nonprofits and community groups and connecting them with faculty, staff and students in areas of need and opportunity to achieve community impact.
In the Office of Public Affairs, Jessica manages a number of projects which connect campus and community partners, including social determinants of health and recruitment and retention initiatives. She directs the University’s Economic Impact Report and the Nonprofit Breakfast Series, held annually in partnership with the Nonprofit Executive Programs in the Mendoza College of Business.
Jessica serves as the Board Chair of the St. Joseph County Health Improvement Alliance, Vice Chair of the United Way of St. Joseph County, and as a board member with Cultivate and South Bend Alumni Association. She is a member of the St. Joseph County Poverty Strategy Team and Advisory Board member for the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute’s Community Health Partnerships (CHeP) which works to improve the health of Indiana residents through community-university partnerships. Jessica has over 20 years of experience in higher education administration.
With a commitment to our community, Jessica enjoys working with local nonprofits and was honored in 2012 with the Dedication Award from the American Cancer Society and the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2016 from United Way of St. Joseph County.
Jessica grew up in South Bend, graduated from Indiana University and earned a master’s from the University of Notre Dame. She and her husband, Drew have two children.
