Karrah A. Miller, J.D.
Karrah Miller, native and resident of South Bend, IN, received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations in 2005 from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. She received her Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2011 where she was President of the Black Law Students Association, Vice President of the Student Bar Association and a member of the Mock Trial Team, Christian Legal Society and the Sports and Entertainment Lawyers Society.
Ms. Miller was named the Director of Public Affairs at the University of Notre Dame in March of 2018. Prior to her current role, she was Notre Dame’s Director of the Office of Institutional Equity and Title IX Coordinator from 2014 until 2018. In this role, Ms. Miller provided oversight and support of the University’s efforts to comply with all applicable federal and state civil rights laws related to policies prohibiting discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Additionally, Ms. Miller created the University’s affirmative action plans, had oversight of employee disability compliance for campus, oversaw workplace investigations falling under Title VII and Title IX, created and facilitated employee “Workplace Harassment Prevention” training and coordinated Title IX efforts for faculty, staff and students.
Ms. Miller is a proud member of FAM Praise and Worship Center in South Bend, IN, and engaged in a number of community organizations in the greater South Bend area.
