After attending the Teachers as Scholars Spring 2017 seminar: "Everyone Can Become a Design Thinker" taught in collaboration with Professor Ann-Marie Conrado, Professor Wendy Angst, and Professor James Schmiedeler, Mary Joyce DeVirgilio applied what she learned directly into her classroom. Mary Joyce DeVirgilio asked her fifth-grade students to work in teams to design a dream house for her – allowing the fantasy that cost is not an issue for a Catholic school teacher.
Nature in America
